Strengthening the Work Competence and Expertise of Non-Tax Revenue Officers
Geochang-gun, Gyeongnam Province, announced on the 3rd that it conducted the '2024 Non-Tax Revenue Job Training' for about 30 non-tax revenue officers from each department at the county office's conference room.
This training invited a professional instructor from the Korea Local Information Development Institute in Seoul to provide practical education linked with the local non-tax revenue information system used throughout the entire delinquency management process, including imposition, collection, and demand, as well as basic theories of non-tax revenue. It received great response by educating officers who had difficulties using the system on accurate usage methods to enhance expertise and enable efficient work processing.
Non-tax revenue is imposed according to over 200 individual laws, including fines, usage fees, and commissions, and is closely related to the daily lives of residents. Compared to taxes, resistance to payment is higher, so the importance of systematic imposition and collection management is increasingly emphasized.
Lee Jeong-hee, Director of the Finance Department, said, “As the scale of non-tax revenue grows every year, the diversity and complexity of related laws are increasing.” He added, “To manage non-tax revenue with many delinquencies more efficiently, we will improve the work capabilities of the officers and do our best for stable non-tax revenue collection.”
