The first recruitment is divided into three types: public interest activities, capacity utilization, and community project groups. Participants will work in 22 projects including environmental helpers at 13 neighborhood community centers, cleaning helpers at senior centers, guardians of Bukhansan Dulle-gil Trail, and support for childcare, care, and senior-related facilities.

Public interest activity jobs are targeted at basic pension recipients aged 65 or older who have the ability to work; capacity utilization jobs are for seniors aged 65 or older; and community project group jobs are for seniors aged 60 or older. However, recipients of livelihood benefits among basic livelihood security recipients, participants in government ministries and local government job programs, workplace subscribers to National Health Insurance, and long-term care insurance recipients are excluded.

Those wishing to participate should bring identification, a resident registration certificate, and other required documents and visit the institution where they wish to work. Online applications are also possible through the Senior Job Here and Bokjiro websites, but applicants must visit the implementing agency in person for individual interview procedures.

Details such as compensation, working conditions, project duration, application locations, and project contents can be found on the Gangbuk-gu website.

Additionally, after January 13 next year, the district will conduct a second recruitment of 1,013 participants for the senior job project carried out by the Gangbuk Senior Club, the dedicated senior job agency. The recruitment types include the three types from the first recruitment plus an employment placement type, targeting seniors aged 60 or older. Major projects include school commuting care, support for childcare and care facilities, and cafe operations.

Mayor Lee Soon-hee stated, "Through the senior job project, we strive to provide seniors with opportunities for social participation and promote health to prevent senior-related issues. We will spare no effort to support many seniors in leading vibrant later lives and improving their quality of life."
