Shinbanpo 2nd and Majang Serim Reconstruction Maintenance Projects Won Consecutively
Only Domestic Urban Maintenance Project Orders Surpass 6 Trillion Won This Year
Hyundai Construction announced on the 3rd that it has surpassed 6 trillion won in orders for urban maintenance projects this year. On the 1st, Hyundai Construction secured the ‘Shinbanpo 2nd Apartment’ project, and on the 30th of last month, it won the ‘Majang Serim’ reconstruction maintenance project.
The Shinbanpo 2nd Apartment Reconstruction Maintenance Association and the Majang Serim Reconstruction Maintenance Association each held general meetings to select a construction company and conducted member approval votes on Hyundai Construction’s sole bid as the preferred negotiation partner, ultimately selecting Hyundai Construction as the final contractor.
The Shinbanpo 2nd Apartment reconstruction project, valued at 1.283 trillion won, is a development of 2,056 residential units and ancillary facilities across 9 buildings ranging from 4 basement floors to 48 above-ground floors, located at 73 Jamwon-dong, Seocho-gu, Seoul.
For the design of the Shinbanpo 2nd Apartment reconstruction project, Hyundai Construction collaborated with the world-renowned architect '2PORTZAMPARC', who won the Pritzker Prize, known as the Nobel Prize of architecture. The project site boasts a locational advantage with a 700-meter-long frontage along the Han River. To maximize this advantage, Hyundai Construction raised the site level and applied pilotis to ensure 100% of all units have a view of the Han River.
The Majang Serim reconstruction project, valued at 406.4 billion won, involves constructing 996 residential units and ancillary facilities across 18 buildings ranging from 3 basement floors to 29 above-ground floors at 748 Majang-dong, Seongdong-gu, Seoul.
Hyundai Construction presented an exterior design inspired by the three waterways extending from nearby Maebongsan and Eungbongsan mountains to Cheonggyecheon Stream, Jungnangcheon Stream, and the Han River. In particular, the design embodies the ridge line of Eungbongsan and plans a sky community at a height of 80 meters, allowing residents to enjoy panoramic views.
Starting with the Seongnam Jung 2 District urban environment maintenance project this year, Hyundai Construction has secured orders worth 6.0612 trillion won across a total of nine projects, including the Yeouido Hanyang Apartment reconstruction, Daejeon Doma and Byeondong 16 District redevelopment, Songpa Garak Samik Mansion reconstruction, Busan Goejeong 5 District redevelopment, Banghwa 3 District reconstruction, Majang Serim reconstruction, and Shinbanpo 2nd reconstruction.
