70s Parking Attendant Falls 10m into Water Tank Room from Seongnam Officetel

Police Investigating Detailed Circumstances of the Accident

At 2:32 PM on the 2nd, a parking attendant in his 70s, Mr. A, fell to the floor of a water tank room located 10 meters below the basement level 1 of an officetel in Jungwon-gu, Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi Province.

The accident occurred when Mr. B, who had previously visited to inspect the water tank room, opened the iron cover and went down into the water tank room. At that moment, Mr. A, who was passing by, slipped at the opening of the water tank room.

Mr. A sustained serious injuries, including multiple fractures throughout his body.

The fire department rescued Mr. A and transported him by helicopter to the Trauma Center at Ajou University Hospital in Suwon.
