Kim Taeheum Criticizes Democratic Party's Budget Cut Proposal, Says "Even Gangsters Wouldn't Do This" Kim Taeheum Chungnam Governor

On the 2nd, Kim Taehoon, Governor of Chungnam Province, criticized the Democratic Party of Korea for unilaterally passing the budget cut proposal in the National Assembly's Special Committee on Budget and Accounts, saying, "This is unprecedented in the history of our constitutional government. Not even a gang would do such a thing."

On this day, Governor Kim stated on his social networking service (SNS), "The Democratic Party, wielding the power of its majority, is not only pushing through the budget cuts alone in the Special Committee but is also forewarning a unilateral passage in the plenary session."

He continued, "Whenever they feel like it, they resort to legislative and impeachment rampages, and now they are even forcing through next year's budget, which is directly tied to people's livelihoods. The ones suffering from the behavior of Democratic Party lawmakers, who are only concerned with shielding their party leader and competing for loyalty, are the citizens and the future of Korea."

Governor Kim pointed out, "With the opposition party's unilateral budget cuts, timely response to disasters and calamities will become difficult, and the suffering of the people and gaps in public safety will only worsen."

He added, "The overwhelming support the people gave the Democratic Party in the general election last April was not a mandate to carry out parliamentary dictatorship 'like a berserker wielding a sword.' The Democratic Party will face the full backlash of their actions."

He concluded, "Please, for once, think about the people and the future of Korea, which you so often mention."
