Along with the financial authorities' household debt management policy and strengthened loan management by banks, the increase in household loans at the five major banks remained at around 1 trillion won for the second consecutive month last month.
The outstanding household loans of the five major commercial banks (KB Kookmin, Shinhan, Hana, Woori, NH Nonghyup) in November amounted to 733.3387 trillion won. This is an increase of 1.2575 trillion won compared to the previous month. After increasing by 1.1141 trillion won in October, the increase remained at the 1 trillion won level for two consecutive months.
In the case of mortgage loans, the amount reached 576.9937 trillion won, increasing by 1.325 trillion won compared to the previous month. Following an increase of 1.0923 trillion won in October, the increase remained at the 1 trillion won level.
Personal credit loans recorded 104.0893 trillion won, increasing by 244.2 billion won. This is a decrease compared to the 388 billion won increase in October.
The total amount of won-denominated loans stood at 1,583.6224 trillion won, down by 80.83 billion won from 1,584.307 trillion won in the previous month.
