Over 80 Attendees Including National and Department Heads on the 2nd

Achievement of Awards in 15 External Agency Evaluations Across 12 Departments

On the morning of the 2nd, Yangsan City in Gyeongnam held the December managers' meeting under the theme of '2024 Major City Administration Project Performance Report' at the city hall's large conference room, attended by about 80 people including heads of departments and offices, and those in charge.

In this report session, the heads of offices and departments shared the achievements Yangsan City accomplished throughout the year in 2024, including evaluations by external organizations, awards, and major projects.

Yangsan City received a total of 15 awards from 12 departments, including △Excellence in the 2023 Comprehensive Evaluation of Active Administration by Local Governments △Top Award in the 2024 Water Management Excellence Evaluation △Minister of the Interior and Safety Award in the 41st Regional Informatization Best Practices category △Minister of the Interior and Safety Award in the Startup and Job Creation category at the 2024 Korea Urban and Regional Innovation Industry Expo △Excellence in the 2024 Forest Fire Prevention and Response Evaluation among cities and counties.

Each department reported on △Management of mayoral pledges and directives △Operation of the Citizens Integration Committee △Active promotion of new anti-corruption and integrity policies and the spread of integrity culture △Realization of stable youth policies based on youth participation and communication △Attraction of industrial technology innovation institutions for fostering strategic industries △Promotion of the Nakdong River tourism resource project △Exchange with international sister city (Sintra City, Portugal) △Completion of the Hwangsan Park complex leisure project △Promotion of Yangsan Arboretum construction for building tourism infrastructure in the southeastern region △Certification as an international safe city △Promotion of the Hoeya River Renaissance project △Upgrade of the Ungsang Health Center.

Mayor Na Dong-yeon announced the 2025 city administration direction, aiming to revitalize the livelihood economy and build a high-quality healing city where future value breathes, and requested thorough efforts in the following urgent tasks: ‘Sharing the 2025 core city administration policies with all employees,’ ‘Meticulous review of various government-led public contest projects to discover new projects and strictly follow preliminary procedures,’ and ‘Practicing neighborly love’ such as sharing kimchi for love and volunteering centered on towns and townships to ensure support reaches the underprivileged during the year-end and New Year season.

Mayor Na said, “The awards in 15 external organization evaluation categories are the result of our city’s active response to government and external organization policies, recognized in various fields,” and emphasized, “Based on the city administration achievements in 2024, please work even harder in 2025 to realize citizens’ happiness and the development of our city by driving even stronger efforts.”
