The program provided education and practical training on overall video translation work using Netflix's tools and content to language experts who had translated but not worked on subtitles. The training was conducted by TVT Media, an official partner of Netflix's subtitle translation program.

Through this pilot training program, Netflix selected four language experts who translate various fields of K-culture, such as web novels and poetry, in addition to existing video translation. Among them, two were assigned to the Korean-English projects for the mystery romance series "Trunk," starring Seo Hyun-jin and Gong Yoo, as well as other upcoming Netflix titles.

A Netflix representative said, "Investment in localization is essential for K-content to travel to a wider world," adding, "We are considering launching this training program as a regular initiative in partnership with the Literature Translation Institute of Korea."
