Case Presentation on 'Developmental Disabilities eSports Team G1 Training Program'
Guri City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Kyung-hyun) announced on the 2nd that the ‘Developmental Disabilities eSports Team G1 (GURI NO. 1) Training Program’ by the Guri City Lifelong Education Center for People with Developmental Disabilities was selected as an excellent case in the ‘2024 Excellent Programs for Lifelong Education for People with Disabilities’ contest hosted by Gyeonggi Province.
The "Developmental Disabilities eSports Team G1 (GURI NO. 1) Training Program" project by the Guri City Lifelong Education Center for People with Developmental Disabilities has been selected as an excellent case in the "2024 Excellent Programs for Lifelong Education for People with Disabilities" contest hosted by Gyeonggi Province and received an award. This contest aims to discover outstanding programs in lifelong education support projects for people with disabilities conducted this year through matching projects between Gyeonggi Province and cities/counties to promote lifelong education for people with disabilities. A total of 10 institutions’ projects were selected as excellent cases.
At the ‘2024 Excellent Cases Presentation for Lifelong Education for People with Disabilities’ held on the 27th at the Purmir Hotel in Hwaseong City, attended by about 100 people including officials from lifelong education institutions for people with disabilities, the city presented the case of the Guri City Lifelong Education Center for People with Developmental Disabilities’ ‘Developmental Disabilities eSports Team G1 (GURI NO. 1) Training Program’ and achieved the honor of receiving the Governor’s Commendation.
Mayor Baek Kyung-hyun of Guri City said, “I thank the officials of the institutions who worked hard for lifelong education for people with disabilities in Guri City,” and added, “We will continue to strive to discover various programs for the development of lifelong learning for people with disabilities.”
Meanwhile, Guri City (Mayor Baek Kyung-hyun) operates excellent lifelong learning programs for people with disabilities in 2024 in cooperation with four institutions in the city to strengthen the capabilities of adult people with disabilities and improve educational equity.
