Gapyeong-gun, Gyeonggi Province (Governor Seo Tae-won) announced on the 2nd that it will recruit participants for the "2025 Winter University Student Military Administration Experience Activity" from the 3rd to the 10th. This activity is designed to provide university students with administrative experience and to help support welfare facilities and cover tuition fees.

The recruitment target is domestic university students who, as of the recruitment announcement date (December 2), have been registered residents of Gapyeong-gun for more than one year either themselves or through their parents, or those planning to return to school in the first semester of 2025. However, those expected to graduate before March 2025, those who have previously participated in the 2024 winter or summer military administration experience activities, students enrolled in lifelong education centers or credit bank system institutions, and graduate students are excluded.

Applications can only be submitted online through the Gapyeong-gun website from 10 a.m. on the 3rd to 6 p.m. on the 10th. Selection will be conducted by a public computerized lottery at 2 p.m. on the 12th in the Nuri Hall on the 3rd floor of Han Seok-bong Library. The final list will be posted on the Gapyeong-gun Office website's notice board on the 13th.

The working period is from January 6 to 24, 2025, with a 5-day workweek and 8 hours per day (9 a.m. to 6 p.m.). The daily wage is 87,120 KRW, and approximately 1.56 million KRW, including weekly holiday allowance, will be paid for full attendance. The wage includes meal and transportation expenses, and the employee's share of employment insurance (0.90% of the wage) will be deducted.

A Gapyeong-gun official said, "This experience activity will be a great opportunity for university students to understand military administration and gain social experience," adding, "We hope many students participate and have a meaningful vacation period."
