On the 1st, Jessi posted a long message written in English on her social media (SNS) account. Recently marking her 19th debut anniversary, she expressed gratitude to her fans by saying, "I can't believe it's already been 19 years. Jebis (fandom name), thank you for being on this journey with me."
She continued, "Without your unwavering faith and support at every turning point in my career, I wouldn't be where I am today," adding, "Life's journey is not a stable and predictable path but has peaks and valleys. We have experienced this rollercoaster journey together." She also added, "I started this journey alone in Korea as a young girl, and now I have grown into a woman leading this industry."
Jessi further stated, "The hardships I have faced made me realize that no one understands my heart and struggles better than I do," and "Throughout this entire process, your faith has been my greatest strength." She concluded by emphasizing her feelings toward her fans, saying, "You too, chase your dreams without fear and never give up on your goals. Jebi, I love you so much."
Earlier, in the early hours of September 29th, an incident occurred in Apgujeong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, where a minor fan was assaulted by Jessi's entourage after requesting a photo. As the controversy grew, Jessi personally requested her agency to terminate the contract and posted an apology on her SNS, stating, "I sincerely apologize to those affected by this incident and their families." Subsequently, on the 7th of last month, the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul concluded their investigation into charges including intimidation and decided not to prosecute Jessi, judging it difficult to acknowledge her guilt.
