Netizens Divided Over Man's Behavior

On the 30th of last month, an online community, FM Korea, posted an article titled "A stranger destroyed a snowman I made for an hour and left." Passersby waved their hands and took many photos. However, shortly after, the snowman was found in a terrible state. Mr. A said, "People passing by were waving and taking photos, and it was heartwarming, but then a bad person suddenly came and kicked the snowman that we had carefully made." He added, "He even hit it with his hands. I got the video from the manager and was very shocked." He continued, "I thought it would just melt away, but I never imagined it would be kicked."
In the video shared by Mr. A, several citizens are seen waving or taking pictures of the snowman placed in front of the convenience store. Suddenly, a man kicks the snowman without warning. He then laughs and talks with his companions before kicking it again and smashing it with his fists.

Netizens who saw this reacted mostly negatively, saying things like, "Why would someone deliberately destroy something made by others? I don't understand," "It's ridiculous to destroy it and then act tough," "I can't understand why he destroyed it," and "They even dressed it in a uniform, so I really don't get why someone would destroy it." On the other hand, some netizens commented, "It was going to melt anyway, so people are being overly sensitive," and "It's not a person, just a snowman."
Meanwhile, another story contrasting this one was also reported. On the 28th of last month, JTBC's 'Incident Commander' aired a report featuring Mr. B, the owner of a dessert cafe in Bucheon. After a heavy snowfall, Mr. A made a snowman in front of his cafe to commemorate the snow and then left work. Checking the CCTV installed at the cafe entrance to look after the snowman, Mr. B witnessed a passerby kicking and knocking down the snowman.
The incident occurred around 10:30 p.m. Feeling upset, Mr. B went back to sleep but was surprised the next morning when he checked the CCTV again. The fallen snowman had been stood back up. It turned out that around 2 a.m., a man carefully stood the fallen snowman back up and even moved it to a different spot. Mr. B said, "When I made the snowman and left work, I thought, 'Who would destroy it?' but when it actually happened, I was shocked and angry." However, he added, "Seeing someone stand the snowman back up a few hours later restored my faith in humanity."
