Proposal for Appliance-Centered Interior Solutions
LG Electronics announced on the 1st that it is partnering with interior design startup 'Apartmentary' to expand AI home services and begin full-scale commercialization.
On the 29th of last month, LG Electronics signed a business agreement with Apartmentary for the "commercialization of space solution products and services." The signing ceremony was attended by Ryu Jae-cheol, President of LG Electronics HS Business Division, Lee Hyang-eun, Executive Director of HS CX, and Apartmentary co-CEOs Yoon So-yeon and Kim Jun-young. The two companies will collaborate to introduce space solution products that combine home appliances and interior design based on LG Electronics' AI home solutions to provide differentiated customer experiences.
LG Electronics and Apartmentary will jointly develop various interior products that implement a one-stop AI home by integrating LG AI appliances and Internet of Things (IoT) devices centered around the upcoming AI home hub, 'LG ThinQ On.'
In LG Electronics AI home, customers can converse with generative AI in everyday language through ThinQ On, and the AI understands customer intent and controls home appliances and IoT devices considering the space. The next-level convenience of LG Electronics AI home, where generative AI optimally cares for customers, will be maximized by combining Apartmentary’s customer contact know-how and standardized construction capabilities accumulated in the interior market in various ways to create synergy.

For example, when customers purchase AI home interior products, interior design will be carried out according to the customer’s lifestyle, home space structure, and preferred design. In this process, various LG AI appliances and IoT devices centered around LG ThinQ On may be included. The final completed space will be realized as a customized AI home where AI appliances and interior design harmonize according to the customer’s taste.
Additionally, the two companies plan to propose various innovative solutions that organically harmonize AI appliances and interior design by moving the timing of selecting home appliances during interior construction from the finishing stage to the initial design stage. LG Electronics will develop appliance-centered interior solutions by expanding the role of home appliances to the entire home space, and Apartmentary is expected to enhance its service capabilities tailored to diverse customer needs, thereby increasing market competitiveness.
Apartmentary is an apartment interior design startup gaining attention for its standardized interior services. It provides residential space solutions efficiently and transparently by introducing interior modularization services, fixed pricing systems, and a dedicated customer communication application.
