Damyang County (Governor Lee Byeong-no) announced on the 30th that two control center operators at the Integrated Control Center received a letter of appreciation from the Damyang Police Station on the 29th.


On the 20th at around 4 p.m., after receiving a request for cooperation in searching for a missing person with a physical disability from the Damyang Police Station, the Damyang Integrated Control Center located the missing person within 30 minutes through monitoring nearby CCTV based on the missing person's residence and clothing description, and returned them safely to their family.


The Damyang Police Station expressed gratitude for the Integrated Control Center's active cooperation and prompt response, awarding letters of appreciation to the two control center operators.


The Damyang Integrated Control Center, staffed by 12 operators, monitors 835 CCTV cameras installed at 369 locations within the county 24 hours a day in real time, playing a vital role in ensuring safety.


Since the installation of the Integrated Control Center, the five major violent crimes have steadily decreased, and it has been utilized in various fields for the safety of residents, including prevention of forest fires and floods.


A county official stated, “We will continue to make efforts to protect the safety of residents 24 hours a day from various crimes, disasters, and accidents.”
