Busan City Holds 'Baekyang Forest One Page'... 1st Happy Challenge Renovation at Baekyang Family Park 'Baekyang Forest One Page' Poster.

This event is organized and promoted directly by residents as a utilization plan for the infrastructure (Baekyang Family Park) created through the ‘15-Minute City Happy Challenge’ project.

The ‘15-Minute City Happy Challenge’ project is the city’s representative pledge project aimed at creating spaces for communication and exchange between generations and revitalizing a happy community in those spaces. In 2022, the city selected the Dangam-Gaegum area as the first Happy Challenge representative living zone, and on November 4th, held the completion ceremony for the first Happy Challenge at Baekyang Family Park.

In particular, this event, which is being actively promoted based on ideas derived from the ‘Resident Participation Living Lab’ operated mainly by Dangam-Gaegum residents, is especially meaningful as a village event directly planned by residents that integrates activities they can participate in together at Baekyang Family Park, remodeled through the first Happy Challenge project.

This year, the city launched the ‘Resident’s Window’ project for the first time and has been conducting a two-month living lab focused on activating the operation of newly established 15-minute city infrastructure in the Dangam-Gaegum area.

About 500 people, including parents, students, local residents, and the Empathy Policy Group, are expected to attend the event, which will feature various contents such as ▲regular programs like an outdoor library and experiential activities ▲guerrilla programs such as exercise sessions ▲street performances (busking) by local residents.

The regular programs include ▲outdoor library ▲making reading stands, reading keyrings, and bookmarks ▲Christmas cookie making ▲2025 calendar making ▲LED light making ▲Christmas sock making ▲nameplate making, among others.

Stage performances include ▲b-boying ▲magic bubble show ▲popular songs ▲choral singing.

Additionally, various guerrilla programs such as ▲yoga & stretching ▲nighttime movie screenings have been prepared.

Im Kyung-mo, Director of the City Innovation and Balanced Development Office, said, “‘15-Minute City Busan’ is our city’s core policy that promotes citizens’ happiness by fostering good social relationships with neighbors nearby. The ultimate goal is to create ‘Busan, a city where people want to live again.’ We hope that starting with this ‘Baekyang One Page in the Forest’ event, designed directly by residents, a 15-minute city Busan made together with citizens and where citizens are happy will be completed.”
