Florida Mar-a-Lago Estate, Thanksgiving Party Captured
Donald Trump, the President-elect of the United States, had the Village People’s "YMCA," which was used as a theme song during the presidential campaign, playing at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida. Trump patted the shoulder of Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, who was seated to his right. Musk raised both hands and lightly danced on his shoulders.
On the 29th, Yonhap News reported on Trump’s Thanksgiving party by citing a video of the party scene shared by the British Daily Mail. At that time, just before the famous part of the Village People’s "YMCA" ? "It’s fun to stay at the YMCA~" ? Trump patted Musk’s shoulder. Musk rhythmically moved in time with the lyrics "YMCA," as if they had agreed on it beforehand. The "combo dance" performed by Trump and Musk, seemingly coordinated, excited the guests invited to the banquet hall.
Trump’s youngest son, Barron, was also on his left. Trump, who showed a pleased smile at Musk’s dance, turned his gaze to Barron. When Barron made eye contact with his father, he faintly smiled before returning to a neutral expression.
As this video spread on the internet, some reacted by saying, "It looks like Trump adopted Musk as his son." In fact, Musk, who is expected to lead the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), responsible for government restructuring in the next administration, has emerged as one of Trump’s closest aides. Musk supported Trump’s campaign with his own funds and is known to spend more time at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence than at his home in Austin, Texas, even after the election.

In response to Musk’s actions, Trump’s granddaughter Kai Trump posted on her X account a photo with the caption "Uncle Elon." Kai is the daughter of Trump’s eldest son Donald Trump Jr. and his ex-wife Vanessa Trump.
Earlier during the campaign, Kai was the first of Trump’s ten grandchildren to appear on the stage at the Republican National Convention, where she drew attention by giving a supportive speech saying, "Our grandfather secretly gives me soda and candy and wonders how I’m doing at school," and "He is an inspiring figure to me." This highlighted Trump’s image not as a politician but as a "normal doting grandfather," creating a warm and intimate image of Trump.
