Through this agreement, each institution will cooperate in establishing the International Coastal Science Center (ICSC) and promoting international joint research related to coastal areas, thereby strengthening cooperation in building an international research network.

Accordingly, the institutions will jointly establish and operate the International Coastal Science Center (ICSC) as a global hub for research, education, and promotion related to coastal science. They will also share research facilities, equipment, and data to enhance each institution’s research capabilities and technical expertise, and plan to develop joint academic programs on mangrove conservation and coastal management.

In particular, to activate research and educational cooperation through exchanges among professors, researchers, and students, they agreed to expand mutual exchanges by holding joint seminars, workshops, and academic conferences.

Kim Youngseok, Director of the G-Lamp Project Group, stated, “We expect this agreement to be an important turning point in establishing sustainable coastal management measures. Through practical cooperation among the institutions, we will contribute to international academic exchange and the creation of research outcomes.”
