On the 28th, Yangsan City in Gyeongnam conducted an advanced site visit to the Dong-gu Bangojin urban regeneration village in Ulsan City for about 30 members of the 6th Women's Friendly City Citizen Participation Group.

Through the Bangojin Port urban regeneration guided tour operated by the Ulsan City Urban Regeneration Support Center, participants toured sites such as the Crime Prevention Environmental Design Alley, Global Culture-Based Street, and Earthquake-Resistant Safe Path, experiencing the vivid scenes of urban regeneration projects firsthand. They also visited local tourist attractions including Daewangam Park and the Petroglyph Museum.
The Citizen Participation Group was formed to propose progressive policies for creating a women-friendly city, review and improve various projects promoted by the city from a women-friendly perspective, and to spread the atmosphere of a women-friendly city.
The 6th Women's Friendly City Citizen Participation Group was appointed with 34 members in September 2024, and has conducted activities such as operating a stroller booth at the Sapryang Cultural Festival in Yangsan City and holding joint meetings of the Women-Friendly City Creation Council. They are also engaged in various activities to promote Yangsan City as a women-friendly city by distributing promotional pamphlets and materials.
Kang Jeong-sook, Director of the Women and Youth Division, said, “Through this visit, we want to incorporate excellent cases from other regions into Yangsan City's women-friendly city projects and strengthen the capabilities of the Citizen Participation Group to help create a women-friendly Yangsan City that considers all citizens from a women's perspective.”
