Jindo County, Jindo-Haenam Nonghyup Join 'Hometown Love Donation'

Mutual Donations of 5 Million Won Each to Support Regional Development

Jindo County in Jeollanam-do announced on the 29th that Jindo Nonghyup and Haenam Nonghyup have participated in mutual donations through the Hometown Love Donation Program.


This mutual donation involved employees of Jindo Nonghyup and Haenam Nonghyup each donating 5 million won to Haenam and Jindo respectively, creating an opportunity to support regional development.

No Chun-seong, chairman of Jindo Nonghyup, said, “Employees actively participated to promote and successfully establish the Hometown Love Donation Program,” adding, “We plan to continue participating steadily in mutual donations.”


Kim Hee-su, the county governor, expressed, “I sincerely thank Kim Gye-yeol, head of Haenam County branch, Jang Seung-young, chairman of Haenam Nonghyup, and the employees for their heartfelt participation in the Hometown Love Donation Program for regional development,” and said, “The donations will be used valuably to restore vitality to the region.”


Meanwhile, the Hometown Love Donation Program allows individuals to donate up to 5 million won annually to local governments other than their registered address. The donations are used to improve the welfare of local residents, and donors receive a tax credit (full deduction up to 100,000 won) along with gifts worth approximately 30% of the donation amount.
