Gwangju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Bang Se-hwan) announced on the 29th that it will recruit participants for the 2025 Gwangju City Winter University Student Job DREAM-UP program from December 2 to 6.
This recruitment aims to provide university students with opportunities to enhance their employment capabilities and explore various career paths through job experience at administrative agencies.
Eligibility requires applicants to be university students currently enrolled or on leave who reside in Gwangju City according to their resident registration as of the announcement date. Detailed application documents and procedures can be found on the Gwangju City website recruitment notice. The total number of recruits is 34, including priority selections for basic livelihood security recipients, persons with disabilities, and legally single-parent families.
The work period is from January 6 to January 31, 2025 (a total of 4 weeks), working 5 days a week, 5 hours per day, receiving the 2025 Gwangju City living wage of 11,030 KRW per hour.
Participating university students will be assigned to each project department considering their preferred department, nearby residence, and major. After attending orientation, they will perform tasks such as civil complaint response and administrative work assistance.
Mayor Bang Se-hwan said, “This will be a great opportunity to strengthen employment capabilities and earn economic income while experiencing administration at various public institutions such as city hall, libraries, and administrative welfare centers,” adding, “We will provide various opportunities for students to participate in city administration so they can develop their dreams and capabilities.”
