The residents of Hakam Village have experienced inconvenience as they had to pass through Songpa-gu to commute to Wirye New Town due to the development of the Wirye District. In addition, the undeveloped Hakam Stream posed a risk of flooding during rainy weather.

Accordingly, Hanam City is promoting the 'Hakam Stream Maintenance Project,' which involves maintaining 0.58 km out of the 0.85 km of Hakam Stream by constructing 1,068 meters of embankments and revetments, and establishing the new Hakam 1 Bridge to allow direct passage from Hakam Village to Wirye New Town.

The Hakam Stream Maintenance Project is scheduled to begin in November this year and aims to be completed by December 2025, with the new Hakam 1 Bridge expected to be completed in the first half of 2025.

On this day, Mayor Lee Hyun-jae attended the residents' briefing session to explain the construction plans and schedule for the new Hakam 1 Bridge and the stream maintenance work, and to ask for understanding regarding any inconveniences that may arise during the construction.

Mayor Lee Hyun-jae emphasized, "I deeply thank the residents who have endured inconveniences and waited for a long time," and added, "Hanam City will continue to do its best to create a safe and pleasant stream environment."
