Guri City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Kyung-hyun) announced on the 29th that it received a scholarship fund of 4 million KRW from the Guri Disabled Independent Living Center (Director Lee Ki-soo) for low-income middle and high school student households on the 28th.

The Disabled Independent Living Center is a non-profit private organization that conducts technical training for the independent living of persons with disabilities, peer counseling, and activities to advocate for the rights of persons with disabilities and raise awareness.
This scholarship donation is the second one following last year and was held in conjunction with the 2024 performance report meeting.
Director Lee Ki-soo said, “I am grateful to be able to make a donation for neighbors in need at the event reporting the center’s achievements,” adding, “Just as our center strives to provide a foundation for persons with disabilities to dream of their own workplaces, I hope this donation will, even in a small way, help students freely pursue their dreams.”
Mayor Baek Kyung-hyun of Guri City said, “I appreciate the meaningful donation again this year, and Guri City will also seek various supports so that students in difficult circumstances can have hope and dreams for the future.”
