Paju-si Selected as an 'Excellent' City/County in the Comprehensive Evaluation for 5 Consecutive Years

Paju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kim Kyung-il) announced on the 29th that it achieved a perfect score (S grade) on all 104 evaluation indicators in the 2024 Gyeonggi-do City and County Comprehensive Evaluation held on the 26th, and was selected as an ‘Excellent’ city/county for the fifth consecutive year.

The Gyeonggi-do City and County Comprehensive Evaluation is a comprehensive assessment conducted on 31 cities and counties in the province, divided into three groups according to population size, based on national core tasks and major provincial policies.

Since the beginning of the year, Paju City has been thoroughly preparing to improve administrative standards and performance under the leadership of Deputy Mayor Kim Jin-gi.

As a result, Paju City exceeded the perfect score of 100 points with a total score of 101.62 points, once again proving its top administrative capabilities in all nine fields including welfare, economy, and environment. This is the highest achievement in Paju City's history and ranks second in Gyeonggi Province.

Paju City secured a prize money of 200 million KRW along with the Excellent City/County Institutional Award, which will be used to address next year’s pending issues. The cumulative prize money received by Paju City for being selected as an ‘Excellent’ city/county in the comprehensive evaluation has exceeded 2 billion KRW.
