Recruitment Open Until the 13th of Next Month
Gangnam-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Jo Seong-myeong) will recruit 3,279 people for 66 senior job projects from the 2nd to the 13th of next month. This is the largest scale ever, about 100 more than last year's 3,160 people.
The recruitment fields are ▲ public interest activity type for the local community such as village guardians and senior centers helpers (2,124 people) ▲ capacity utilization type that leverages seniors' experience such as consulting and childcare (559 people) ▲ community business groups that produce and sell products and services such as meal support, parcel delivery, paper folding instructors, and diffuser production (326 people) ▲ employment support type that assists job placement through private jobs (270 people).
By field, the public interest activity type targets basic pension recipients aged 65 or older residing in Gangnam-gu (some projects accept those aged 60 or older), and the capacity utilization type targets seniors aged 65 or older suitable for the project characteristics (some projects accept those aged 60 or older). The community business groups and employment support type recruit those aged 60 or older who fit the project characteristics.
Residents who wish to participate can submit applications to 14 project implementing organizations or apply online through the ‘Senior Jobs Here’ and ‘Bokjiro’ websites. More detailed information can be found on the district office website.
Mayor Jo Seong-myeong stated, “We are expanding senior jobs every year so that seniors can spend a healthy and vibrant old age,” and added, “We will continue to strive to discover customized jobs that utilize seniors' experience and capabilities and contribute to the local community.”
