Ridi Corporation, which operates the content platform 'Ridi,' announced on the 29th that it will hold the '2024 Ridi Awards' to select this year's most popular works.
Started in 2016, the Ridi Awards, now in its 9th year, is a ceremony that selects outstanding works in web novels, webtoons, and comics from the past year. The winners of the Ridi Awards are determined by reader votes, and last year, the total number of votes exceeded 4.6 million, showing high participation rates every year.
This year's 2024 Ridi Awards is expected to feature fierce competition among the works that made it to the finals, marking the largest scale ever. Awards will be presented in a total of 54 categories across four genres: web novels, webtoons, BL comics, and comics. A Best Short Story award has been newly established in the webtoon category this year.
Reader voting for the 2024 Ridi Awards will continue until the 13th of next month. Each person can vote once per day and select two works per category. All participants will receive 100 points, and depending on the level of participation, a lottery will be held to provide up to 100,000 points. The winners will be announced on the 27th of next month.
