Honorary social welfare officers and Hope Boddeumi serve as an unpaid, honorary local community safety network that identifies and supports welfare blind spots by promptly reporting crisis households encountered in daily life and providing welfare information. They are composed of local residents including neighborhood leaders, members of the Community Security Council, workers in various service industries, and religious organizations.
The training was conducted under the theme "Identifying Welfare Blind Spots and Resident Dialogue Methods by Type," led by Kwon Jong-hee, CEO of the Global NLP Coaching Academy, who was invited as a one-day instructor.
Instructor Kwon Jong-hee conveyed practical methods (such as counseling techniques) that honorary social welfare officers and Hope Boddeumi can apply in the field while fulfilling their roles as identifiers of welfare blind spots, through various case studies.
Mayor Kang Su-hyun of Yangju said, "I am always grateful for your hard work in identifying welfare blind spots and linking support," and added, "I ask you to continue to take the lead actively so that no neighbors are left in welfare blind spots through the establishment of a community protection system."
