Earlier, Park Yoon-gi (64), a Western-style painter working in Goryeong-gun, expressed his intention to donate his talents to the local community, actively practicing talent donation through mural painting, sculptural garden projects, and donating his collected works.
Painter Park was also appointed as a crime prevention advisory member of the Goryeong Police Station, playing a leading role in improving the environment while enhancing crime prevention effects in the slum-affected Wangneung Village.
Kim Yong-hyun, chairman of the Goryeong-gun Tourism Association, said, “I appreciate everyone’s efforts to participate in making a better village,” adding, “We will continue to do our best to create a healthy ecological environment in the region through various community-based cleanup and volunteer activities.”
The natural cleanup activities carried out by the Goryeong-gun Tourism Association to contribute to local environmental protection have been ongoing since 2022 as part of the ‘365 Days Clean Tourism’ project, and the various household wastes they have collected so far exceed 2 tons.
