Yangsan-si, Wildfire Surveillance Posts Inspection... Full Effort for Wildfire Prevention

The inspection took place at the Ungsang Outpost and Habuk Outpost, and was organized to strengthen thorough prevention and preparedness measures during the wildfire-prone season.

Yangsan City is operating a comprehensive wildfire prevention headquarters until May 15, 2025, and is conducting intensive crackdowns on illegal burning activities, imposing fines upon detection to prevent wildfires. In particular, if a wildfire occurs due to illegal burning, strong penalties will be enforced according to relevant laws.

The city plans to continue expanding wildfire prevention publicity, maintain outpost operations and equipment inspections, and minimize damage through prompt initial response in case of wildfire occurrence.

Vice Mayor Cho Hyun-ok urged the wildfire monitors and firefighters, saying, “As the risk of wildfires increases due to dry weather and strong winds in winter, please remain vigilant and fully committed to monitoring and response,” and added, “Since initial response is crucial when a wildfire occurs, please protect the safety of citizens through thorough preparedness and training.”
