Busan City will hold a pop-up campaign called ‘Bugirang Undonghajang’ at the outdoor plaza of the Busan Eurasia Platform from October 30 to December 1, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., where visitors can experience Busan as a paradise of community sports.
To create a 15-minute city, the city has prepared a space where citizens can directly experience and feel the community sports policies promoted by the city.
This campaign, held at Busan Station Plaza decorated like a sports field, offers various programs that anyone can easily and enjoyably participate in.
The main programs include ▲‘15-Minute Happiness Zone (Busan Fitness 100)’ providing fitness assessments and exercise prescriptions ▲‘Community Sports Experience Zone’ where popular city community sports (table tennis, soccer, park golf) can be enjoyed like games ▲and the ‘Busan is Sports (多)’ exhibition promoting community sports policies and the 15-minute city policy.
On the main stage shaped like a stadium, three classes will be held at different times: ▲bodyweight exercises taught by Busan influencer ‘Ppeondeo’ ▲running sessions by Kim Da-eun, coach of the Busan-based running crew ‘Vega Berry’ ▲and beginner pickleball posture lessons. Additionally, three performances will take place: children’s cheerleading, taekwondo, and children’s jump rope.
As an event program, the ‘Busan Pull-up King Selection Contest’ will be held, hosted by Bugirang and ‘Ppeondeo.’ The event zone will feature a space where popular community sports like tennis and badminton can be enjoyed through virtual reality games. There will also be a photo zone where visitors can take pictures with Bugirang while exercising.
For the online campaign, the ‘15-Minute Exercise Challenge’ is ongoing with ‘Ppeondeo.’ Participants who upload time-lapse videos of the challenge on social networking services (SNS) will be entered into a draw to select three winners who will receive prizes worth approximately 150,000 KRW.
The ‘15-Minute Exercise Challenge’ video released on the 22nd has surpassed 500,000 views, receiving great response.
In addition, on-site events offering various prizes to citizens participating in the campaign will be held, and promotional booths involving local companies will also be operated.
Notably, all three classes sold out within one day of the pre-registration opening on the 24th, proving high public interest.
