During Class, Teacher in Charge of Career Guidance at Middle School Sent to Prosecution for Swearing at Student

Student Thrown Out of Classroom
Also Uses Profanity Toward Parents

A middle school career guidance teacher who was reported for verbally abusing students has been referred to the prosecution.


On the 28th, the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul announced that they had sent Mr. A, a career guidance teacher at a middle school in Gangnam-gu, to the prosecution on the 26th on charges of child abuse.

Mr. A is accused of verbally abusing students and parents during a career class on the 31st of last month and forcing a student out of the classroom.


The police received a petition against Mr. A on the 3rd, conducted an investigation, and then booked him. The school reportedly excluded Mr. A from his duties and hired a new career guidance teacher after the issue surfaced.


In addition, Mr. A is under police investigation following additional accusations from parents at the school for fraud and violations of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act.


Mr. A is also accused of forcing students to subscribe to and watch videos on his YouTube channel during class. It is also known that he posted a link to a group KakaoTalk chat room for his career and college admission consulting business on the school's notice site.
