Review of Goryeong-gun's Budget of 456.9 Billion Won for Next Year
On the 28th, the Goryeong County Council in Gyeongbuk appointed Councilor Seong Won-hwan as the chairman and Councilor Kim Myung-guk as the secretary of the Budget and Accounts Special Committee following the 2nd plenary session of the 302nd regular meeting, and began reviewing the 2025 budget proposal and various fund operation plans.
The Budget and Accounts Special Committee is scheduled to review the 2025 general and special account revenue and expenditure plans, various fund operation plans, and the 3rd supplementary budget revenue and expenditure plans for 2024 from the 28th of this month until December 12th. After comprehensive review, these agendas will be submitted for final approval at the 4th plenary session held on December 13th.
The total size of the Goryeong County budget proposal for next year under review is 456.9 billion KRW, which is a 3.67% increase compared to the 2024 original budget. The general account increased by 3.01% to 438.3 billion KRW, and the special account amounts to 18.6 billion KRW.
Chairman Seong Won-hwan stated, “We will do our best to thoroughly verify that the precious budget is not wasted and is invested only where necessary, prioritizing the happiness of the residents and the public interest as the highest values.”
