Mayor Lee Jae-jun stated, "Temperatures will drop below freezing from the night of the 28th, and if snow removal on alleys and side streets is not completed today, the roads will become icy and difficult to pass for several days. Mobilize all public officials and cooperate with residents such as tongjang to focus snow removal efforts this afternoon on alleys frequently used by citizens."

On the morning of the 28th, Suwon City conducted snow removal work for about three hours on roads frequently used by citizens, including bus stops and subway station areas, with about 1,500 employees from City Hall, district offices, and business offices divided into 44 neighborhoods (30-40 people per neighborhood).
In the afternoon, all public officials except essential personnel will carry out snow removal work in 44 neighborhoods' alleys and side streets together with tongjang and other local organization members, as well as environmental workers.
Prior to this, four safety alert text messages were sent to citizens from the afternoon of the 27th to the morning of the 28th.
