Operation for 3 Months from December to February Next Year
Uijeongbu City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kim Dong-geun) announced on the 28th that it will operate the "Everyone's Playground Winter Season" for three months from December this year to February next year in collaboration with Uijeongbu Urban Corporation (President Kim Yong-seok).
"Everyone's Playground" was established to provide sports spaces and programs to vulnerable groups such as children, adolescents, the elderly, and people with disabilities in the area, aiming to realize sports welfare. Over the past two years, the city has opened multipurpose facilities within the city hall to offer various sports activities such as futsal classes and new sports.
In this winter season, breaking away from the spatial limitations of the existing multipurpose facilities, the indoor ice rink and curling arena will be opened free of charge. In cooperation with Uijeongbu Urban Corporation, the city plans to provide opportunities for children and others to experience winter sports.
Applicants are child and youth welfare facilities located in Uijeongbu, such as child welfare facilities, and applications can be submitted through the Social Welfare Information Center website of the Uijeongbu City Social Welfare Council.
Mayor Kim Dong-geun said, "We will support children and adolescents to grow healthily through experiences in winter sports," and added, "We will continue to work closely with Uijeongbu Urban Corporation to actively realize sports welfare for citizens."
