3rd Korea Bearing Conference & 7th Bearing Day Event Held
Yeongju City, Gyeongbuk, which is emerging as a central city in the bearing industry, has actively launched efforts to attract companies to the Advanced Bearing National Industrial Complex.
Yeongju City (Mayor Park Nam-seo) and the Korea Bearing Industry Association (Chairman Jin Young-hwan) jointly held the "3rd Korea Bearing Conference & 7th Bearing Day" event at the Seoul Garden Hotel on the 27th.
The event was attended by about 100 stakeholders from bearing-related companies, research institutes, and universities, including Jin Young-hwan, Chairman of Samik THK and Chairman of the Korea Bearing Industry Association, Shin Yong-min, Director of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, and Jang Yong-hoon, President of the Korean Tribology Society.

The participants exchanged and communicated information on bearing technology development and the latest trends under the theme of "Carbon Neutrality and Response Strategies of the Bearing Industry." Ministerial commendations and association chairman commendations were awarded, and Yeongju City presented commendations and plaques of appreciation to contributors to the development of the bearing industry.
At this event, Yeongju City actively promoted the "Yeongju Advanced Bearing National Industrial Complex and Cluster Development Project" through operating a promotional booth and a presentation by Kim Myung-ja, Head of Corporate Support Office, on the "Success Strategy for Yeongju Advanced Bearing National Industrial Complex," dedicating full efforts to attracting companies.
Mayor Park Nam-seo said, "It was a time to discuss bearing technology and innovation, share new ideas, and lay the foundation for the development of the bearing industry," adding, "Korea's bearing industry will open a new path never taken before, centered on 'Yeongju, a city good for business.'"
The Yeongju Advanced Bearing National Industrial Complex is planned to be developed over an area of 1.18 million square meters (approximately 360,000 pyeong) in Jeokseo-dong and Munsu-myeon, with a total project cost of 296.4 billion KRW. Scheduled for completion in 2027, this project is attracting attention as a key initiative to establish Yeongju as the center of the bearing industry.
