'Busan Is Good Dongbaekjeon' is the new name of the Busan citizen platform that includes Dongbaekjeon as well as various administrative services.

The 'Busan Happiness Mileage,' introduced for the first time this year, is a point system that means "Busan citizens build happiness together." Points are awarded for completing various missions such as ▲walking ▲visiting 15-minute city facilities ▲volunteering.

Through missions aimed at practicing happiness in daily life, it is expected that citizens will take care of their health by walking in their daily routines, and that the use of 15-minute city facilities and the activation of volunteering will motivate social communication.

Anyone aged 19 or older who is a Busan citizen can participate, and 10,000 people, which is 20% of the recruitment quota, will be specially recruited for those who need social consideration.

The special recruitment targets are ▲seniors aged 65 or older ▲isolated and reclusive youth ▲households at risk of solitary death.

Busan citizens aged 65 or older are classified as special recruitment at the registration stage, so the elderly, who are digitally vulnerable, can apply comfortably.

Also, in line with the policy goal of reducing social isolation and creating a healthy community, isolated and reclusive youth and households at risk of solitary death will be recruited separately.

During the pilot project period until April 30, 2025, points can be accumulated and used up to a maximum of 50,000 points. Points can be converted to Dongbaekjeon from a minimum of 5,000 points up to a maximum of 30,000 points and used like cash, and can also be used for discount deductions (1?10%) at registered discount merchants.

If you walk more than 8,000 steps daily (5,000 steps daily for those aged 65 or older), you will receive 100 points. If you continue this practice more than three times a week, you can receive an additional 500 points.

By visiting about 500 'happiness facilities,' which are major anchor facilities of the '15-minute city Busan' such as the children's complex cultural space 'Deullaknallak,' 'HAHA Center,' and 'Our Neighborhood Social Value Management (ESG) Center,' on the '15-minute city living area map' within the app and scanning the QR code for verification, you will receive 100 points. If you practice this more than three times a week, you can receive an additional 500 points.

Connected with the 'blockchain-based volunteer bank,' which has been in pilot operation since March, points accumulated through volunteer missions in the 'Volunteer Bank' app can be converted and used as 'Busan Happiness Mileage.'

For smooth service registration, existing 'Dongbaekjeon' app users can update the app before the recruitment starts and then register. From December 2, the 'Dongbaekjeon' app will be newly revamped as the 'Busan Is Good Dongbaekjeon' app, and the update will be automatically performed when the app is launched from the 2nd.

Mayor Park Hyung-jun said, "'Busan Happiness Mileage' is a meaningful project in that it provides an opportunity to newly recognize the value that can be gained through the habituation of practicing happiness," adding, "We will continue to strive so that citizens can find vitality in their daily lives and create a warm community through healthy social relationships."

This pilot project was promoted through active cooperation with BNK Busan Bank, the operator of Dongbaekjeon, to realize the value of coexistence and sharing through the social return of corporate profits.
