Daekyo Cultural Foundation announced on the 28th that it held the award ceremony for the '33rd Noonopi Education Award.'
The Noonopi Education Award is Daekyo Cultural Foundation's first educational support project established in 1992 based on the management philosophy of mutual teaching and learning. For 33 years, it has been discovering and honoring true teachers who teach, learn, and grow together in the field of education.

At this award ceremony, five teachers who have made outstanding achievements in various fields such as elementary, secondary, early childhood, special, and lifelong education were honored with the Noonopi Education Award.
Jo Ho-je, the lead teacher at Seoul Jamsil Elementary School, led innovation in teaching and learning by improving teaching methods and revitalizing teacher learning communities. His contributions to policy research and the development of the lead teachers' council were also highly evaluated.
Lee Bok-hee, a teacher at Sejong Girls' High School, operated career-customized programs linked to students' lives and regional joint education curricula. She was recognized for her contribution to nurturing creative and convergent talents through these efforts.
Baek Jeong-i, the director of Haedoji Kindergarten, established an ecological early childhood education curriculum that realized nature- and play-centered education. She was also highly praised for creating an environment where kindergarten teachers could focus on educational activities.
Ham Mi-ae, a senior teacher at Seoul Jeongin School, practiced life-centered education for students with disabilities and made significant contributions to improving the special education environment. In particular, her efforts to increase teachers' educational engagement through a democratic decision-making organizational culture received attention.
Shin Sung-min, the principal of Noseong Night School, worked hard to provide learners in need of education with opportunities for elementary, middle, and high school academic recognition and literacy education while operating Noseong Night School. He was highly evaluated for establishing a virtuous cycle model of lifelong education and spreading the values of learning and sharing.
Each awardee received a prize of 15 million KRW, a plaque, and educational equipment worth 5 million KRW as separate donations.
A representative of Daekyo Cultural Foundation stated, “The dedication and passion of the awardees realize the value of mutual teaching and learning through the process of teaching and learning together,” and added, “We will continue to create various opportunities to highlight and express gratitude to teachers who contribute to the development of education.”
