On the 27th (local time), he posted a video of the hole-in-one on his social media (SNS). He challenged himself to hit a hole-in-one by sending the ball over his house. He even installed a putting green behind the house. It took some time to succeed, but finally, after 16 days, he succeeded. On the 14th attempt that day, the ball magically went into the cup. He jumped into the air and threw his hat, celebrating like a child.

DeChambeau is known as the ‘scientist on the field’ who strives to prove various scientific hypotheses on the course. He majored in physics at university. He does not hesitate to adopt new technologies based on scientific principles and methodologies in all areas, including practice, physical training, swing, and equipment. He is called a ‘quirky golfer’ for his unconventional club setup that breaks common sense. For irons, the lower the number, the longer the shaft, but DeChambeau is an exception. The lengths of all 10 clubs, from 3-iron to wedge, are the same at 37.5 inches, and the weight is 280g.

DeChambeau is popular for preferring a hunting cap reminiscent of Ben Hogan (USA). He has won a total of 9 PGA Tour titles, including 2 major championships. He currently plays in LIV Golf, sponsored by Saudi Arabian oil capital. He has won 2 times in LIV Golf. Especially in June, he won the major US Open as a member of LIV Golf, drawing a lot of spotlight.
