Goseong County, Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province (Governor Ham Myeong-jun) announced on the 28th that the section from the summit of Misiryeong Old Road to Delpino Intersection (6.6km) in Toseong-myeon, which poses a risk of safety accidents due to heavy snowfall and road icing, will be fully closed from 6 PM on the 27th until further notice.
From 6 PM on the 27th, vehicle traffic will be completely restricted on the Misiryeong Old Road control section in Goseong-gun, Gangwon-do (6.6 km from the Misiryeong Old Road summit to Delpino Samgeori). Image provided by Goseong County Office
According to Goseong County, this decision was made in consultation with related organizations (Goseong and Inje Police Stations, Inje County Office, etc.) during the 2024 Winter Disaster Preparedness Situation Review Meeting held on the 27th under the theme of natural disasters in Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province.
Accordingly, vehicles that used Misiryeong Old Road should take a detour by using Local Route 56 Misiryeong Tunnel (Seoul-Inje direction) or National Route 46 towards Jinburyeong.
A Goseong County official stated, “We ask Misiryeong Old Road users to use the detour routes for safety, even if it is inconvenient.”
