This program was designed to help students gain a detailed understanding of Korea's defense industry, represented by K-Defense, and to comprehend the future value of the aerospace industry. Practical staff, including Jo Sang-wook, team leader of KAI's Cockpit Systems Team, provided in-depth explanations about KAI's vision and current status, the present and future of the aviation industry, and the economic value of the defense industry, assisting students in setting their career paths.

Following this, an on-site tour program was conducted, which included visits to the production sites of rotary-wing and fixed-wing aircraft and an inspection of state-of-the-art fighter jets.

Department Head Lee Ji-yeon stated, “Gyeongnam Information University's Department of Defense Industry is doing its best to cultivate excellent talent in the K-Defense sector. We will continue to expand cooperation with defense-related institutions and companies, including KAI, to provide students with many experiences and opportunities.”

The Department of Defense Industry at Gyeongnam Information University has been reorganized as the first department in a junior college to specialize in defense and K-Defense professional manpower training for the 2025 academic year and is currently recruiting new students.

After graduation, the curriculum is prepared to enable students to advance into various fields such as army, navy, and air force non-commissioned officers, military officials, and defense industry companies.
