Before the council's official launch in March next year, the meeting was attended by Lee Ho-jun, the Federation's full-time vice chairman; officials from the Low Birthrate and Aging Society Commission; and HR managers from medium-sized enterprises including Kyochon F&B, Dain Precision, Inseong Information, Daelim Trading, Synopex, iMarket Korea, Airfirst, TYM, Pulmuone, and Indong FN.
A representative from Indong FN, a medium-sized company specializing in women's clothing, stated, "Support systems for work-family balance, such as childbirth support funds of 10 million won and child-rearing allowances of 1.1 million won per month from age 0 to first grade of elementary school, appear to have had positive effects on boosting employee morale and fostering a mutually beneficial internal atmosphere."
Lee Ho-jun, the Federation's full-time vice chairman, said, "Through the council launching next year, we will actively collect difficulties and suggestions related to work-family balance and promote corporate-friendly policy improvements such as tax benefits and support for securing substitute personnel. We will do our best to spread a culture where corporate performance and social responsibility coexist harmoniously."
