Daejeon Transportation Corporation Selected as Excellent Case of Proactive Administration for Two Consecutive Years

Awarded the Minister of Personnel Management Prize for Creating Smart Safe Restrooms

Daejeon Transportation Corporation received the Commissioner of the Ministry of Personnel Management Award at the Active Administration Best Practice Competition on the 26th. / Daejeon Transportation Corporation

Daejeon Transportation Corporation announced on the 26th that it received the Minister of Personnel Management Award at the 2024 Proactive Administration Best Practices Competition held at the Government Sejong Complex.

The corporation was recognized for establishing smart safe restrooms at all stations. Following last year's introduction of the free pass gate system for people with disabilities, which earned the Minister of the Interior and Safety Award, this marks a second consecutive year of recognition.

The smart safe restrooms, installed at all 22 urban railway stations, were developed in collaboration with local companies using AI technology to proactively address concerns about using public restrooms in the stations.

The safe restrooms are equipped with occupancy detection systems and illegal filming detection features, eliminating potential safety concerns related to crimes such as illicit filming.
