Secured 200 Million KRW Financial Incentive
After Rising One Level Compared to Last Year
Gapyeong-gun, Gyeonggi Province (Governor Seo Tae-won) announced on the 27th that it ranked 2nd, one step higher than last year, in the 2024 City and County Comprehensive Evaluation hosted by Gyeonggi Province, and was selected as an excellent institution for two consecutive years. Accordingly, the county will receive a financial incentive of 200 million won.
The Gyeonggi Province City and County Comprehensive Evaluation divides the 31 cities and counties in the province by population size and conducts quantitative and qualitative evaluations based on 104 major national and provincial policy indicators. This is an official indicator that comprehensively evaluates administrative capabilities, covering all aspects of administration such as safety, environment, jobs, and welfare.
Gapyeong-gun, following its selection as an excellent institution ranked 3rd last year, achieved an S grade (99.04%) in 103 out of 104 indicators in this year’s evaluation, recording an all-time high score of 101.32 points. This is an improvement of 2.51 points compared to the previous year. In particular, designating the deputy governor as the overall person responsible for evaluation indicators, operating the evaluation indicator responsibility system, and holding progress report meetings for systematic performance management were evaluated as major factors for the high rating.
Governor Seo Tae-won said, “Being selected as an excellent institution for two consecutive years is the result of all public officials’ steady efforts in their respective positions,” and added, “Based on this achievement, we will provide the best administrative services to residents and continue to pursue ongoing change and innovation.”
Gapyeong-gun plans to use this achievement as a stepping stone to strengthen administrative efficiency and continue efforts to improve the quality of life for its residents.
