The Samil Paraview Cultural Scholarship Foundation (Chairman Choi Gap-ryeol, President of Samil Construction) actively engaged in social contribution activities this year by providing scholarships and development funds worth 180 million KRW, despite the contraction of social donation and sharing culture due to economic uncertainty.
Since establishing the Samil Paraview Cultural Scholarship Foundation in 2019, Chairman Choi has supported over 3.5 billion KRW in scholarships and cultural arts support projects over the past five years, serving as a model case of practicing 'ethical management' through corporate profit social return.
Chairman Choi's practice of sharing serves as a positive influence that nurtures hope in the local community and acts as a driving force for the continuous spread of donation culture.
This year, the Samil Paraview Scholarship Foundation returned approximately 180 million KRW to the local community by donating 50 million KRW to Dongseong High School and Gwangju Girls' Commercial High School, 30 million KRW to Jeonggwang Middle and High Schools, 30 million KRW as development funds to Jeonnam National University Hospital, and 20 million KRW in scholarships for foreign students at Chosun University, thereby practicing the value of sharing.
To date, Jeonnam National University Hospital has received cash and in-kind donations worth approximately 300 million KRW, and the donated funds are expected to be used for medical research, providing practical support for the advancement of regional healthcare.
On the 27th, Chairman Choi stated, “I established and operate the scholarship foundation with the belief that nurturing talents with true leadership is the path to national development and the future of the Republic of Korea,” adding, “I want to support students facing difficult circumstances so that they can freely pursue their dreams and aspirations and grow into true workers who contribute to the advancement of human society.”
