This platform will be dedicated to the exchange of children's books and business marketing. Korean children's books are among the representative content recognized overseas. They have consecutively won prestigious children's literature awards such as the Andersen Award (Suzy Lee), the Lindgren Award (Heena Baek), and the Bologna Ragazzi Award (Jinho Jung). In the past three years (2020?2022), the number of copyright export cases has reached 1,204.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism fully supports the Busan International Children's Book Fair, judging that both its international status and export competitiveness are high. An official stated, "It is a field where all generations, regardless of adults or children, communicate together," and explained, "It can also expand into various business sectors such as animation, webtoons, and merchandise (goods)."

The Busan International Children's Book Fair will feature 193 publishers and organizations from sixteen countries, along with 118 authors and speakers. The Korea Publishers Association will conduct 158 programs including exhibitions, lectures, seminars, and training sessions under the theme 'Laputa.' Laputa is an imaginary floating island in the sky that Gulliver visits third in 'Gulliver's Travels.'

Many of Korea's representative children's literature authors will participate in the lectures. They include Suzy Lee of 'Summer is Coming,' Heena Baek of 'Cloud Bread,' Jinho Jung of 'Look Up!,' and Sunmi Hwang of 'The Hen Who Dreamed She Could Fly.' International picture book authors such as David Cali (Switzerland) and Giulia Pastori (Italy) will also meet with readers.
