Yoo Seung-min: "Han Dong-hoon is still a prosecutor... Watching him, he is just like Yoon"

"Criticism: 'They escalate issues that would end if asked within the family'"
"Pointing out: 'Just like Yoon trying to protect his wife'"

Former People Power Party lawmaker Yoo Seung-min commented on the 'party member bulletin board suspicion' regarding defamatory posts about President Yoon Seok-yeol and his wife allegedly written under the name of party leader Han Dong-hoon's family, saying, "Looking at how Leader Han conducts himself, he seems exactly the same as President Yoon."

On the 27th, Yoo said on MBC Radio's 'Kim Jong-bae's Focus' that "President Yoon refuses the special prosecutor law to protect his wife, Kim Geon-hee, covering up her mistakes, and Leader Han, faced with issues involving his own family, cannot even speak and has let the matter escalate (which is the same behavior)."

Yoo Seung-min: "Han Dong-hoon is still a prosecutor... Watching him, he is just like Yoon" Former People Power Party lawmaker Yoo Seung-min said regarding the 'Party Member Bulletin Board Suspicion,' where defamatory posts about President Yoon Suk-yeol and his wife were written under the name of Party Leader Han Dong-hoon's family, "Seeing how Leader Han conducts himself, he seems just like President Yoon." He continued, "Politicians should not have their families 'attack President Yoon or write comments.' Doing so crosses a line," adding, "If such comments were written, it is something that cannot be understood logically and requires an apology. If an apology had been made, this would have ended by now." He further stated, "The public's standards are clear. If your own family is at fault, that is unforgivable," criticizing, "Responding with 'I did nothing illegal' makes me wonder if they have misunderstood what politics is."

Yoo also said, "It would be a simple matter to just ask Leader Han if his wife and family wrote those comments. If they did, that would be bizarre beyond legal issues," emphasizing, "He is not a politician. He is still a prosecutor. From what he does, he always focuses on legalities." Additionally, he pointed out, "In politics, keeping promises is important," and questioned, "The special prosecutor law proposed by Chae Sang-byeong was to appoint a third-party special prosecutor. The Kim Geon-hee special prosecutor law also emphasizes the public's standards, so why can't they say they will do it?"

Regarding President Yoon, Yoo said, "I think it is good for the president to exercise veto power on policy bills. But exercising veto power on matters concerning the president himself and his spouse is not right," adding, "It is not a legitimate exercise of power. The president should not exercise veto power on matters involving himself and his family."

Earlier, on the 25th, Yoo demanded an apology from President Yoon and disciplinary action against the Foreign Minister and other responsible officials through his Facebook, stating, "South Korea has once again been deceived by Japan's fraud," and said, "If Japan does not clearly acknowledge and record the painful history of over 1,500 Joseon people being forcibly taken to Sado Mine for forced labor, we should have naturally opposed the registration." He questioned, "If that is the case, what did the Yoon Seok-yeol administration believe in when it supported the UNESCO World Heritage registration of Sado Mine last July?"

He continued, "No matter how much the president wants to be friendly with Japan, in diplomacy between nations, shouldn't we maintain at least the minimum reciprocity for our national interests and the dignity of our people?" and asked, "Especially regarding issues of historical sovereignty and territory, aren't there principles that cannot be compromised?" strongly criticizing President Yoon's foreign policy.
