Kakao Mobility Updates 'Incheon Airport Preview'... Provides Customized Information Linked to Flight Tickets

Kakao Mobility announced on the 27th that it has updated the 'Incheon Airport Preview' service provided on Kakao T for overseas travelers.

With this update, users who book international flight tickets on Kakao T can automatically link their flight information without any additional procedures to check customized information such as 'My Flight Information' and the estimated time to the boarding gate. For tickets booked on other sites, users can enter the flight number and departure or arrival date in 'Register Flight Ticket' to view the linked information.

In 'My Flight Information,' essential airport usage information is automatically displayed based on the flight details booked or registered on Kakao T. Upon departure, boarding information such as check-in counters, boarding terminals, boarding gates, scheduled departure times, and flight status are provided. Upon arrival, information such as arrival terminals, baggage claim areas, arrival halls, and expected arrival times are guided. The estimated time to the boarding gate shows a detailed breakdown of the expected time from the departure point within the airport to boarding the plane. The departure point can be set to locations within the airport such as parking lots or departure floors.

The Incheon Airport Preview categorizes airport and immigration hall congestion into four levels: 'Smooth,' 'Slightly Congested,' 'Congested,' and 'Very Congested.' In particular, airport congestion is displayed with time-based graphs and colors to allow users to intuitively check real-time congestion status. Parking information provides real-time parking status and fee information, including whether parking lots at each airport terminal are full and the number of available spaces.

For airport transportation methods, estimated time and costs are provided for each mode of transport such as taxis and private cars, and users can book services or receive directions via Kakao Navi. Convenience facilities within the airport, such as currency exchange, banks, lounges, nursing rooms, restaurants, and cafes, are categorized by 24-hour availability, duty-free zones, and general zones, providing detailed information such as facility locations and phone numbers. Recommended services introduce options available overseas through Kakao T, such as overseas vehicle calls and overseas car rentals.

The Incheon Airport Preview was launched utilizing the Incheon Airport Big Data Platform as part of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety's 'Digital Service Opening Leadership' project, which provides public services to the private sector. It is characterized by visualizing essential airport information for travelers?such as airport and immigration hall congestion, parking information, airport transportation methods, and convenience facilities?on a single page.

Ryu Geung-seon, CEO of Kakao Mobility, stated, "We are introducing the Incheon Airport Preview service that provides essential airport and transportation information for users traveling abroad," adding, "We will continue to consider users' mobility convenience and collaborate with various public and private companies to update services that offer a seamless travel experience."
