Strengthening the SME Ecosystem
The Small and Medium Business Corporation announced that it will recruit collaborative institutions for the core strategic industry-specialized "Contest-type Win-Win Cooperation Mutual Aid" starting from the 27th.
The Contest-type Win-Win Cooperation Mutual Aid is a collaborative model in which the Small and Medium Business Corporation cooperates with local governments, large (and medium-sized) enterprises, public institutions, financial institutions, and associations to jointly support the burden of Tomorrow Filling Mutual Aid contributions for companies. The Small and Medium Business Corporation plans to support strengthening corporate competitiveness by inducing the inflow of excellent talent and long-term employment in core strategic industries together with collaborative institutions.
The mutual aid support targets are small and medium venture companies that are in a cooperative relationship with collaborative institutions or located within the jurisdictional area, and must meet at least one of the following conditions: ▲ industries in the field of innovative growth ▲ regionally specialized industries ▲ green industries ▲ other strategic industry fields directly proposed by collaborative institutions ▲ companies located in depopulated areas.
Collaborative institutions will share the burden of Tomorrow Filling Mutual Aid contributions for subscribing companies at a certain ratio for two years from the date of the new mutual aid contract together with the Small and Medium Business Corporation. Through this, cooperating small and medium enterprises are expected to resolve manpower shortages, and collaborative institutions are expected to enhance their status as partners for win-win development and secure growth engines.
Jo Han-gyo, Director of Human Resources Growth at the Small and Medium Business Corporation, said, “Since 2015, a total of 71 institutions have participated in the win-win cooperation mutual aid, supporting 13,179 employees of 6,424 small and medium enterprises, joining efforts to overcome manpower shortages in cooperating small and medium enterprises,” and “Through the establishment of a public-private-civil collaboration support system where collaborative institutions lead and the Small and Medium Business Corporation supports, we support the co-growth of small and medium venture companies, and will continue to discover various collaboration models to revitalize the small business ecosystem.”
