The two companies pursued this agreement to encourage consumers' value consumption for a sustainable future and further contribute to the practice of ESG management. According to the agreement, both parties will implement ▲ mutual exchange for ESG management ▲ continuous mutual cooperation for animal welfare ▲ cooperation on other matters necessary for mutual development and friendship enhancement.

Through this agreement, Pulmuone Foodmorse plans to actively engage in various activities such as promotions using animal welfare-certified food ingredients in collaboration with McDonald's Korea, striving to practice ESG management. Both companies expect to significantly contribute to activating consumers' value consumption and realizing ESG values through multifaceted activities. Cheon Young-hoon, CEO of Pulmuone Foodmorse, said, "We will actively work to help consumers' value consumption with the know-how Pulmuone Foodmorse has accumulated in the food ingredient market and achieve ESG management practice together with McDonald's Korea."

Meanwhile, Pulmuone has made significant efforts in animal welfare since introducing the concept of animal welfare into the food business for the first time in the industry in 2007. In 2017, it introduced an animal welfare poultry farm applying the largest-scale European-style open aviary in Korea, distributing and selling animal welfare eggs nationwide. In 2018, Pulmuone signed a 'cage-free' agreement for edible eggs with Animal Freedom Union and is leading the animal welfare egg market with the goal of converting all edible eggs to animal welfare eggs by 2028. In addition to eggs, Pulmuone offers various animal welfare products.
