Goyang Agricultural Technology Center Wins Three Crowns at Rural Resources Project Competition Hosted by Rural Development Administration

Institution Division Excellence Award - Grand Prize and Excellence Award in Public Official Division

The Goyang City Agricultural Technology Center in Gyeonggi Province (Director Kwon Ji-seon) announced on the 27th that it achieved great success by winning the ‘Excellence Award’ in the institution category and the ‘Grand Prize’ and ‘Excellence Award’ in the public official category at the Rural Resources Project Competition held on the 26th.

This competition, hosted by the Rural Development Administration, was organized to discover outstanding cases in the rural resources project field and to select excellent institutions and public officials who contributed to increasing farm income and improving quality of life.

Goyang City passed the first round of document screening in October and ultimately won the Excellent Institution Award (Food Culture category), the Grand Prize in the public official category (Agricultural Product Processing field), and the Excellence Award (Food Culture category) in the second round of presentation screening.

They were recognized for achievements such as expanding rice consumption through the spread of local food culture using local food in collaboration with the Flower and Local Food Research Association, developing and supporting customized processing technologies reflecting farmers’ demands, and strengthening the competitiveness of farm startups through various rice processing methods.

Lee Sook-hyang, Head of Research and Development at the Goyang City Agricultural Technology Center, said, “Winning three awards this time is especially meaningful as it is the result of the hard work of farmers and the processing technology team working together. We will continue to strive to contribute to spreading the value of agricultural and rural resources and improving the quality of life for farmers.”
