On the 22nd, Gijang-eup, Gijang-gun, Busan, signed a business agreement for the ‘Neighborly Love Hope Owl’ project to identify vulnerable households, together with the Gijang-eup Community Security Council (private chairman Kwon Myoyeon) and Neulchaeum Real Estate (director Kang Kyungmi).
The ‘Neighborly Love Hope Owl’ project was initiated through a business agreement with local private organizations to establish a system that continuously identifies neighbors in difficulty and provides prompt assistance.
Through this agreement, the public and private sectors agreed to closely cooperate to identify and support welfare blind spots in the region.
Lee Sang-sik, mayor of Gijang-eup, expressed gratitude to the officials who showed active interest in helping residents in need, saying, “We will strive to build a more robust welfare safety net through mutual cooperation with local private organizations.”
Since 2019, Gijang-eup has been operating a public-private cooperative system to identify vulnerable households by signing business agreements with a total of nine institutions, including small marts, apartment management offices, and hospitals.
